Our Own May Amelia

Our Own May Amelia
By: Jennifer L. Holm
When I read Our Own May Amelia, it made me think of so many things like how much I really do like history, or even to know who is a strong person. This book took place in the 1800’s in the state of Washington in a little town on the Nazel River. Amelia (the main character) was the only girl to have ever been born on the Nazel and when being the youngest out of seven boys that’s high standards being set by papa.  Amelia and I have a lot of similarities and differences but the biggest similarity is that we are both the youngest. Being the youngest has its similarities and differences.
Being the youngest rocks! You’re the baby of the family and most of the time you get the more things! Being the youngest though isn’t always amazing. It comes with hard ships like you can’t stay up along with you’re other siblings or even getting the same privliges as them!!! Also you can’t see the same movies and tv shows as them! But being the baby of the family is nice time to time. You don’t get the same cleaning jobs as them. Also you get to have alone time with you’re parents when you’re other siblings go off to college.

As you can see being the youngest is pretty cool but it also does come with hard challenges.  Amelia and I do have a lot in common but the main thing is we will always be the youngest and for that I will always be proud of that.
