The Holocaust

If you know me I love learning about history. When I was younger I was allowed to pick anywhere we could go for spring break. Guess what I chose..... Washington D.C. There we went to the capitol, saw museums, and went to the holocaust museum.  That's when my love for The Holocaust started.

It was 1942, the first concentration camp has just opened and Jews from all over started to pack in. They were wearing striped uniforms with a yellow Jewish Star. The guests there had a diet of stale bread and watery soup. Sometimes the guards would feed the Jews saw dust and say that is is crushed up bread. The prisoners did not live in good living conditions. They were very poor, you either slept on a brick or wooden bed with a straw mattress. The barracks also known as housing units swarmed with various sorts of vermin and  rats. Lot's of diseases flowed around the barracks too. Also, prisoners were not allowed to take showers since the water shortage. The prisoners were often experimented with freezing/ hypothermia, genetics, infectious diseases, interrogation and torture, killing/ genocide, high altitude, pharmacological, sterilization, surgery, and traumatic injuries. The people who were tested was were homosexuals, Jewish, disabled humans, prisoners of war, and slaves. When the working camps got overflowed they sent the Jews to the killing camps the Jews were killed by being burned, gassed, shot, hunger, death marches, and medical experiments. Besides the Holocaust there were 2 other solutions to getting rid of the Jews.

One of them was segregating them to the rest of the world like what happened to black people here in America. Jews weren't aloud to go see movies, go to different restaurants and different things like that. The second solution was to stick them in ghettos where they would need a pass to get out of the ghettos. There they would only have a room for you're family to live in. All of these other solutions led up to the Holocaust. Which is also known as the Final Solution.

What the German's did to the Jew's were absolutely horrific, millions of people died in this massacre all because they didn't believe in Jesus. So don't think that this was the only massacre for what humans believed in. There is also so other many things going on right now. So I think people should start accepting the fact that no people are different than you!
